"Playing by the rules"
At CEC we take compliance seriously and the business is committed to the highest ethical, legal, and professional standards. We are absolutely focused on maintaining a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance with applicable laws, industry regulations and client requirements.
Conduct Risk is one of the keys ways that CEC delivers its business strategy. With this in mind, we champion a culture of continuous improvement and place the customer at the heart of things. We believe passionately that having sound ethics and good business practice are fully compatible and that when combined together they produce the very best results for our partners and their clients.
Health and Safety
CEC is fully committed to complying with its obligations and duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act. In so far as is reasonably practicable, we will provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and others associated with our day to day business practices.
During our interaction with other parties, CEC is required to maintain customer data in order to meet operational, commercial and regulatory requirements. In accordance with relevant laws, we ensure the correct and lawful treatment of customer data. To ensure compliance, we operate appropriate systems and controls across the business.
Corporate Social Responsibility
We are committed to ensuring that CEC is 'socially responsible'. We take seriously our commitment to the environment and to the communities in which we operate. We always strive to ensure that we are ethical in our day to day business practices and to reinforce this, we have defined our approach into the following areas - Marketplace, Workplace, Environment and the Community.
The day to day management of risk is an integral part of CEC achieving its strategic objectives. The companies Risk Management approach therefore provides a framework for identifying, assessing, monitoring and managing risk across the company. Not only that, but our products assist Insurance Brokers and other partners in reducing their own business risks.
Treating Customers Fairly
CEC fully understands the advantages offered by committing the business to treating customers fairly (TCF). We believe that by conforming to the principles of TCF, this will benefit Insurance Brokers, their clients, our employees and also the CEC business itself.
Sometimes things can go wrong and if this happens, we want to be given the opportunity to put things right quickly. It is therefore vital that Insurance Brokers tell us if clients are unhappy with the service received. CEC is fully committed to operating a robust complaint process and uses root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement across the business.
Our policy defines how the business and its employees manage money laundering risks to ensure compliance with its legal obligations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Terrorism Act 2002 and the Money Laundering Regulations 2007. CEC is committed to high standards of ethical behaviour and preventing and detecting all criminal activity.
At CEC we recognise that insurance fraud is a major issue for the industry and it is our role to work with our partners to ensure that effective systems and controls are in place to prevent and detect fraud as part of the claims process.
